Social Network Overload

It happened this morning - my first invite to Google+. Fine, I have everything Google has to offer. I even have a Google phone number. However, I don't use any of this stuff outside of my GMail. I'm a corporate guy, so I'm tethered to Office -- my daily life is totally dictated by Outlook.

Anyway, as with Google's other offerings, I've signed up. Pretty familiar interface. Reminds me of Facebook. So now I have Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Twitter, and this blog (the latter two being prime examples of services I've signed up for, but rarely use).

But here's the thing - I use each of these (aside from LinkedIn) to talk with the same network of people. I just wonder if it's all so necessary.
